Non-branded Chandler Outlets
Wherever there are large fishing fleets there will be chandler stores and most will carry non-branded parts and equipment of varying qualities, suitable for sailing yachts and power boats. In such places there are no one-stop-shops but instead a maze of small specialist stores where, if you know exactly what you need, they will either, provide or, direct you to the best place. The largest conglomeration of non-branded chandler outlets in the Philippines is located in Binondo, Manila.

Chart Sales Outlets Philippines
Detailed paper charts for reliable navigation have been around for centuries - at least since 1800 when the British Hydrographic Department printed their first Admiralty chart of Quiberon Bay, Brittany. Since 2000, yachts have been enjoying fully accurate GPS satellite location capability overlaid onto digital charts based on the original printed charts, updated based on current GPS data, but there is always the need for paper charts - just in case.
The Philippine Government Agency responsible for charts and charting is the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority ("NAMRIA"). NAMRIA use originals from American and British navigational chart sources and where significant discrepancies are found, NAMRIA will produce their own updated charts and maps.
